Hi, I'm Gean! I hold a Computer Science degree and as an aspiring Software Engineer and Game Developer, I love tackling creative challenges and finding innovative solutions. While I often work with Python and C++, I'm always excited to explore new technologies as you can tell from my projects! My projects tend to come from the gaming world as I find it easier to come up with fun and creative ideas in the gaming space, but I'm open to applying my skills in any industry where creativity and problem-solving are key.

This is my re-created portfolio website. My previous site was built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The old site had separate HTML files for each page, making updates cumbersome. I decided to build this single-page application using Next.js to enhance my web development skills and streamline my workflow. Thank you to Jasmine for allowing me to borrow aspects of her design for my previous page. Some of them are still used on this site! Her website can be found at https://jasminehn.github.io/. The intro page images on this site are free images from pixabay.com.

This paper was written for a seminar course during my undergraduate studies, where students explored specific topics in depth. I chose to focus on Natural Language Understanding and Translation. Although it’s not a programming project, this paper offers valuable insights into the workings of AI systems like Apple's Siri and Google Translate on a fundamental level. Given the increasing relevance of AI in today's world, I still appreciate this paper for its comprehensive look at how these systems operate, both in software and hardware contexts.
